Adding a New ReviewAZON Site to My Portfolio

Jul 19

Today I decided to build another ReviewAZON site to try and increase my Amazon affiliate sales. I think it’s taken me about 2 hours to get the site up and running – maybe 2.5 if you include keyword research. I’ve got about 30 product posts live and have the same number queued up to publish over the coming week.

Here’s what i did:

  1. Plugged some keywords into Google’s Keyword tool
  2. Transferred the CSV files to the Money Matrix tool from Niche Profit Classroom
  3. Ended up with 30 Excellent keywords and 270 Good keywords – which means this is a good niche to target
  4. Headed over to GoDaddy and plugged in one of the Excellent keywords – and found the dotcom domain to be available. This keyword has 33,100 searches and only 2040 results so it’s a good one to rank for.
  5. Added the domain to my Hostgator account and used Fantastico to add a WordPress blog.
  6. Installed Jeff Johnson’s Traffic Getting plugin, WP-Stats and the ReviewAZON plugin.
  7. Installed the Magazine Basic theme by c.bavota – I’ve not used this one before but it claims to be SE optimised so I’ll give it a try. Works well with the ReviewAZON plugin anyway with no tweaking.
  8. Used the Bulk Posts option on the ReviewAZON dashboard to load up a number of posts.
  9. Pinged the site at pingoat.com.
  10. Added the RSS feed to feedage.com and feedagg.com
  11. Added a campaign to my Link Juicer account.

Now as a test I’m going to leave it for a week and see if it gets any traffic…
