Why I Think ReviewAZON is The Best Amazon Plugin for WordPress

I’ve recommended the ReviewAZON Amazon WordPress plugin to a few of my IM friends recently and thought it would be a good idea to share here why I like it so much and why I think it’s the best WordPress plugin you can get for Amazon.

I’ve been an Amazon Associate for a couple of years now and have used it primarily to monetise my book review website: Blue Archipelago. As I’ve said previously I signed up for Info Product Killer last year and expanded my use of the Amazon programme to make money selling “real” products in the run up to Christmas.

People say that Amazon Associates isn’t a great affiliate programme because the commissions are too low – why take 6% from Amazon when you get 50% selling ebooks on ClickBank? Well personally I think both have their place – and the best thing about the Amazon programme is that you earn commission on everything that goes in basket – not just the product you recommended – and we all know how easy it is to buy multiple items from Amazon ;)

The big downside though is the amout of time it takes to add products to your site. Even with the introduction of the Amazon Stripe you still have to do a lot of cutting and pasting and fiddling. I’ve even tried a few WP plugins but nothing worked perfectly.

Then I discovered Brad and the ReviewAZON plugin. This one is streets ahead of any of the other Amazon plugins for WordPress. ReviewAZON allows you to display over 25 different pieces of product content in your blog post including average customer rating, product description, customer reviews, pricing, brand, manufacturer, and product details. And it’s all done through a single click on the Add New Post screen.

I bought the plugin to use at Blue Archipelago – my book review site. It adds value for my readers as not only can they read my review of the book – but they can also scroll down and read reviews that have been posted on Amazon.

Here’s some screen shots to show how great it looks. At the top of this page is my review – and then we have the image of the book cover with price information and a nice Order Now button. Just under that is the Product Description that is called from Amazon.

Then we have space for video reviews – these are called from YouTube and will only appear if there are any. And below that Customer Reviews; which once again are called straight from Amazon.

Finally – look over on the right of this image to see Similar Items; this is just a widget that pulls back other Amazon products. It could be similar items, best sellers, accessories etc.

Having enhanced my book reviews I then thought about how ReviewAZON could be used in conjunction with Info Product Killer. The plugin comes with an unlimited license – so you can use it across multiple domains without paying a ridiculous license fee. I’ve built a couple of ‘store’ sites around a theme – and used the bulk posting option to just set and forget. You simply tell the plugin what products you want to include on your site and then over time it will drip feed them on for you!

And while I add my own unique content to my book reviews posts – it really isn’t necessary. I have a site that is ranking well in the search engines and bringing in traffic and all I did was set up a bulk post drip feed in the ReviewAZON plugin and then set up two campaigns at The Link Juicer to build back links.

The possibilities are endless!

Oh and you don’t have to be a techie to be able to work with this plugin – you just upload it to your WP dashboard, follow the set-up instructions – and away you go. And if you do get stuck there is a fantastic support forum. And Brad himself is a gem. I actually had a couple of issues when I started messing around with the advanced settings and Brad just went in and fixed them for me – and on a Sunday too!

So there you have it – the reasons why I think that ReviewAZON is the best Amazon plugin for WordPress and why I think you should get your copy of ReviewAZON today.

Hey clare, no doubt reviewazon is the best plugin I have ever used till date and thanx for all the motivation u've given me in past from ur posts. Its such a powerful plugin I recommend it to anyone who is serious about earning money from amazon affiliate. Since amazon products converts so well reviewazon is a gift from heaven.
I have now updated to the latest version and the way customer reviews looks even more professional than before. My site now smells like amazon.com..lol
However, total customer reviews and rating bar isnt showing up. Guess i've messed with it. And I couldnt figure out how to fix this problem. Plz guide me through.

I seem to be having the same issue - in fact I don't seem to have any ratings or customer reviews! Might be worth posting this one on the support forum over at Reviewazon to see if Brad can help.

I've just been over to the Reviewazon Support forum and it would appear that the Number of Customer Reviews and the Customer Rating is no longer supported by Amazon. There is a thread showing how to remove them ahead of Reviewazon 2.0.

Oh and if anyone else has found that all of their reviews have disappeared - there is a further update that you need to install - 1.3 which was posted in November - I still had the October version.

Hi Clare,

I\'ve purchased Deadbeat Affiliate (DA) and learn a lot from it. I need to ask you whether reviewazon plugin is suitable to apply with the teachings in DA. I also come across a plugin called SEOpresor, do you think its a good investment beside reviewazon and DA?

Thanks!

Hi Khairul - I think ReviewAZON is the perfect plugin to use with the Deadbeat Super Affiliate programme and I use the plugin to create extra content pages on all of the sites I use. I also use SEOPressor on all my sites. But if you are strapped for cash I'd start with ReviewAZON.

Can one set ReviewAZON to display reviews by specific reviewers? In an ideal set-up, I'd love to be able to offer on my site my review of a book, then a link to others\' reviews (but not their full reviews). Also, do you know if there is a Drupal version of the plug-in?

Tony

Hi Tony - the plugin will only show the most recent reviews, you can't set it to show yours. This is the way that it has to interface with Amazon. You can simply paste your review into the post in the usual way though which is what I do. It's only available on Wordpress.

Hi, Great info, ReviewAZON is impressed.

But I have question about ReviewAZON, it copies contents from Amazon, will google rank the page if the contents is duplicated from Amazon.

Can I modify ReviewZon contents?

Hi Fei - thanks for stopping by. You don't need to worry about duplicate content as that only affects pages within your own site that have duplicate content. Your content will rank just as the actual Amazon page will. It is possible to modify the contents of the page, you can either do as I do and top and tail the page with your own content, or you can actually edit the product description that Amazon provides via the plugin.

Hope this answers your questions.

Clare
