Traffic School: Simplicity and Focus

I’ve been over The Bridge to Wales today so I loaded up my MP3 player with some Traffic School lessons to keep me company on the trip. First up was an interview with Leo Babauta; if you’ve not come across Leo before he has an insanely popular blog called Zen Habits - that’s dotnet not dotcom! Traffic School: What’s your traffic mindset?

Today I got stuck into the Traffic Mindset lesson which starts out with a face-to-face video from Corbett – no slides this time. He gave some wise words about the mindset you should have when building websites, and that is to be in it for the long haul delivering information to help people, not throw a site up overnight and expect to be a millionaire by the morning.

Traffic Reports – June 2011

I just got through watching the first video in Traffic School and my homework assignment for today is to take a closer look at my Google Analytics.

Corbett walked us through the basics of GA and while I didn’t learn anything new about what’s inside it has prompted me to pay more attention to my stats. I need a baseline to work to so that I can see how my traffic is improving over the next few months as I implement the strategies I learn in Traffic School. I’m the newest member of Traffic School

Just wanted to add a quick post to say that Traffic School has just reopened it’s doors and I’m excited to be all signed up and ready to go.

Having spent the last few weeks in the Hustle Project with Corbett Barr I’ve been thinking seriously about the direction I need to take my business. My biggest obstacle right now is traffic. And I don’t want to learn about black hat – throw up a thousand links over night and see what sticks – strategies.
