How to Use Google Analytics with WordPress

I’m a big fan of Google Analytics; if you’re going to build a successful website then you need to monitor your site’s traffic, visitors and incoming keywords and how better to do it than with Google’s free analytics tool?

Of course I know some people will disagree with me, they’ll tell you that you shouldn’t let Google know everything about your site as it can adversely affect your rankings. Personally I think if you don’t want Google to know about your site then you’re dabbling in Black Hat methods. Which is fine of course if that’s what you choose to do. But if you’re doing things straight up then I think you can help your rankings by letting Google have the insider track on your website.

Anyway, enough about that, if you’re reading this article then I assume you’ve already decided to go down this route and you just want to know how to use Google Analytics with Wordpress.

The 3 Keys to Content Success

You’ve probably heard the saying that Content is King on the Internet. And it’s true. Content serves two important purposes, to attract the search engines and to please your readers. Great content will establish your credibility, increase your site’s popularity and allow you to sell more products. Here are the three keys to content success.

1. Research your niche

Start with a keyword research tool, Google has one you can use for free, and look for popular keywords in your niche. Using these keywords in your content will help the search engines to understand your content and hopefully to rank it. You are more likely to rank for keywords that have a low level of competition from other websites.

Contrary to popular belief there is no need to stuff your articles with the keyword, repeating it in every sentence. Search engines are smarter than that and prefer to rank well researched and well written content. Don’t forget that the search engine has to serve it’s customers; the people who are searching, if they serve up rubbish content the customer will just go and use a different search engine provider.

2. Don’t forget your reader

Always put your reader first. By writing for a human being instead of a bot your content will be much more enjoyable and compelling. Keep your content interesting and fresh by trying out different styles. You might like to write some how to guides, or lists of great resources. A question and answer format is also worth considering.

If you are stuck for ideas then head over to a forum in that niche and just hang out for a while and see what people are talking about. What problems and issues do they have? If you know the answers then you now have something to write about on your blog or website.

3. Recycle your content

You might start out writing content to publish on your own blog based on your keyword research and the problems you unearthed in the forums. But you don’t have to stop there. You can recycle that content in a number of different ways to make it more valuable to you.

First off you could rewrite the blog post so that you can submit it to an article directory. You could sit in front of your video camera and read the article and then submit the video to YouTube. You could submit your article to a blog carnival to encourage readers to come to your blog.

If you have a whole series of articles or posts in a similar theme then you could even package them up into an ebook which you could give a way to build your prospects list or even sell to your readers.

The 3 Keys to Becoming a Successful Affiliate

Affiliates are a crucial cog in the wheel that is Internet marketing. Some people are born to create products that meet the needs of people in their niche, but they might not have the time it takes to promote those products. Which is where you come in.

As an affiliate you don’t need to worry about product creation or split testing sales pages, you just need to concentrate on traffic. The more traffic you send to the other person’s sales page the more sales they will make and in turn the more commission you will receive.

Here are the three secrets you need to know to become a successful affiliate promoting other people’s products.

1. Choose the right product

Your first step for success is to select the right affiliate product to promote. There are a wide range of products to choose from but that doesn’t mean that they all will make money for you. Before you even put any time and energy into promoting a programme you need to do some niche research.

Start with a Google search and look for blogs and forums in the niche. Are there lots of people talking about their problems? Make a list of the top ten issues you find in that niche.

Now you need to find a product that solves those issues. You might choose a digital product from a marketplace like Clicbank, or a tangible product from Amazon or from Commission Junction.

Make a list of four or five products that you could promote to solve the problems that you discovered. Then take a close look at the sales pages. Would you buy this product? Is it affordable? Does it really meet the needs of the niche?

When you have found a product that you would like to promote you might also want to check the commission payments and the stats about product sales and conversions.

2. Build a prospects list

It is possible to promote a product by driving potential customers directly to the sales page via your affiliate link. But if you want to be a successful affiliate you should actually capture that potential customer’s information on your own list first.

Think about it; let’s say you decide to promote a pregnancy product. That person not only needs to know about pregnancy and birth, but they’ll also need to buy baby products. Sooner or later they’ll be thinking about teaching their child to read, and then they’ll need school supplies. Don’t focus on the one product sale, think big picture. What else might this person need to buy?

By adding them to your marketing list you can keep contacting that person over time to sell them other products to solve their other problems.

Create a free report that you can use to encourage that person to join your list, and then you can send them onto the sales page. Not only do you have a potential sale in the here and now you also have a future prospect to market to.

3. Start building traffic

Now all that’s left is to start building traffic to your squeeze page. You could try article marketing, using the issues you discovered in the forums as a basis for your articles. Make sure you have a compelling resource box and include a link to your free report.

You could also think about creating a video that talks about a problem you highlighted and tells the viewer where to find the solution. You can include a link to your squeeze page in the video to encourage them to grab your free report and join your prospects list.

The Deadbeat Super Affiliate is Here – And if You’re Not Excited You Should Be!

Hello fellow IMMA peeps, sorry there’s been a little radio silence around here the past few days, I’ve been busy working on my Amazon reviews like I promised myself I would do.

I’ve been following Dab Brock’s Profitzon learnings and my Amazon commissions are higher than ever. One of my “Profitzon sites” as I affectionately call them is making sales pretty much every day!

I got an email from Dan yesterday with some really exciting news, Profitzon is about to be made over and the updated course is going to be known as the Deadbeat Superaffiliate. I thought the original course was brilliant and great value for money, but with Deadbeat Superaffiliate Dan is taking things to a whole other level.

How to Create Information Products That Sell Like Hotcakes

Have you noticed that with more and more products being available in the market consumers are becoming more and more picky? They want to buy what they want and only when they want it. This puts some marketers off, but actually it gives people like you the opportunity to make a lot of money. Here’s how.

Most marketers have got it into their heads that in order to sell information products they need to write big weighty tomes. They believe that the more pages there are in an ebook the more they can charge for the product.

But the problem with that strategy is that consumers don’t want to sift through 100 pages of information to find out how to do something. They also don’t want to pay for 100 pages of information when all they really need is chapter 2.

If you appreciate this then you will be able to tap into the gold mine that is short reports written around precise topics.

Consumers want specialised information that tells them how to solve their problems quickly. Like this:

* The Top 3 Ways to Get a Free Vacation
* How to Stop that Spilled Red Wine from Ruining Your Carpet
* How to Walk Off 7 Pounds in Just 7 Days
* 17 Ways Google Can Find You New Affiliates

If you write a small report that tells the customer exactly what they need to know they will pay you anywhere from $10 to $100; and you only need to write seven to fifteen pages!

Here are some benefits of leaving the War and Peace ebooks to the other marketers and focusing your efforts on specialised short reports:

1. It only takes a few hours to write the report

2. At $10 for 10 pages you’re making a dollar per page per customer. That’s a pretty impressive profit per page ration.

3. It’s so much easier to write a short report than a long-winded ebook.

4. There is a never-ending supply of topics for you to write about and problems for you to solve.

5. You can maximise the lifetime value of your customer as you can sell them report after report.

6. Over time you can package together similar reports and sell them as a premium-priced course.

7. You can exploit hot topics by cranking out a report and striking while the iron is hot.

8. You can use short reports to increase your affiliate commissions. Just write a report than compliments the product you are promoting and use it to convince people to buy the product using your affiliate link instead of someone else’s.

9. Most people refuse to buy high-priced products, but virtually anyone would be willing to pay just $10 to $15.

Trust me, I could keep going with this list.

I know one marketer who makes $15,000 profit each and every month from just one site where he sells these short reports.

Why not try it yourself? Write a 7-15 page report that solves a specific problem and offer it to your readers and then see what a success it turns out to be.
